Terms of Service

The short version

• You keep ownership of the songs and photos you upload.
• Only upload music you have the rights to, and only use someone's face with their permission.
• All purchases are final. Once you buy, you waive the right to a refund.
• You can cancel a subscription at any time to stop it renewing.

1. What Muzie does

Muzie is an AI music video maker. You can upload a song or create one with Muzie, add a photo of a singer, choose a visual style, and Muzie writes a storyboard, generates the scenes and lip-syncs the singer to the song to produce a finished music video. Muzie can also make lyric videos, Spotify Canvas loops and other short music visuals.

Muzie uses artificial intelligence models, some run by us and some by the third-party providers listed in our Privacy Policy. We add, change and retire features, styles and models over time to keep Muzie working well.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 13 to use Muzie. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to these terms on your behalf.
• You sign in with Google, Apple or email. Keep your login secure. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
• One person, one account. Creating extra accounts to collect free credits again is not allowed, and we may close accounts made for that purpose.
• Give us accurate information and keep your email address current.

3. Credits, plans and prices

A. Credits

Making things in Muzie uses credits (sometimes called tokens). The app shows how many credits an action costs before you start it. Credits are taken when a generation starts.

Credits are a licence to use Muzie, not money. They have no cash value and cannot be sold, transferred to another account, or exchanged for cash.

B. Free credits

We sometimes give free credits, for example when you sign up, as a daily reward, or as part of a promotion. Free credits are at our discretion, may vary by country and over time, can be withdrawn, and have no value. Not every new account receives free credits.

C. Subscriptions

• Subscriptions are billed monthly or yearly and renew automatically until you cancel.
• Each billing period gives you that plan's credit allowance. Unused plan credits do not roll over into the next period.
• You can cancel at any time. You keep your plan and its remaining credits until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again.
• Cancel on the web from your account settings, or in the App Store or Google Play if you subscribed there. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

D. Credit packs

One-off credit packs are added to your balance straight away and do not expire while your account is open.

E. Prices and payment

Prices are shown before you pay and include any VAT or sales tax that applies. We may change prices, plans and credit costs in future. A price change never affects a purchase you have already made, and for subscriptions it applies from your next renewal after we tell you.

Depending on where and how you buy, your payment is handled by one of these providers, each under its own terms:

• Freemius, Polar, Creem or PayPal for purchases on the web. Freemius, Polar and Creem act as the merchant of record, so their name may appear on your statement.
• Apple App Store for purchases in the iOS app.
• Google Play for purchases in the Android app.

We never see or store your full card details.

4. No refunds

All purchases are final and non-refundable. By buying credits or a subscription, you waive any right to a refund.

A. Your right to cancel

If you live in the UK or the EU, the law normally gives you 14 days to cancel a purchase of digital content. When you buy, you ask us to supply your credits or plan immediately, and you agree that you lose your right to cancel once supply begins. Supply begins the moment the credits are added to your account or your plan is activated.

B. AI results

Credits are used up when a generation starts. AI is creative and unpredictable: a video may not look or sound the way you imagined, a singer may not match a real face or voice exactly, and results can contain the glitches typical of AI. None of this is grounds for a refund. You can always re-generate a scene with more credits.

If a generation fails to finish because of a problem on our side, we may return the credits it used. This is at our discretion and is never a cash refund.

C. Subscriptions

You can cancel a subscription at any time to stop future renewals. You keep your plan until the end of the period you have paid for. We do not refund or credit any part of a billing period, used or unused, or a renewal you forgot to cancel.

D. App Store and Google Play

Purchases made in the iOS or Android app are processed by Apple or Google under their own terms, and any refund request for them is handled by Apple or Google, not by us.

E. Chargebacks

If you dispute a payment with your bank or card issuer, we may suspend the account and remove its credits while the dispute is open, and we may contest the dispute.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

5. Your songs, photos and other uploads

You keep ownership of everything you upload: songs, audio, lyrics, photos, prompts and text ("your content").

You give us permission to store, copy, process and adapt your content only as needed to run Muzie for you, including sending it to the AI providers that generate your video. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies we must keep by law.

When you upload content you promise that:

• You own the song or have permission from its rights holders to use it this way. Uploading a commercial track you do not have rights to is not allowed.
• Every person shown in your photos has agreed to their image being used, and for anyone under 18 their parent or guardian has agreed.
• Your content does not break the law or anyone else's rights.

6. The videos and songs you make

Subject to these terms, you may use the music videos, songs and other output you make with Muzie ("your creations") for personal and commercial purposes, including posting them on social media and alongside a release on streaming services.

• Your creations are private to your account unless you choose to share them.
• Videos exported on the free tier, and on some plans, carry a Muzie watermark. The plan description shows this before you buy. Do not remove or hide the watermark.
• AI output can resemble output made for other people, and AI-made work may not be protected by copyright at all. We make no promise that you own your creations or that they can be registered or protected.
• Some distributors and streaming services have their own rules on AI music. Check them before you release.
• Your creations are still covered by section 7. You are responsible for how you use and share them.

7. What you must not do

Do not use Muzie to make, upload or share anything that:

• is sexual, pornographic or nude, in any context;
• shows a real person without their permission, including celebrities, politicians and public figures, or pretends to be a real artist;
• sexualises, harms or exploits a child, or uses a child's image without a parent's or guardian's consent;
• copies music, lyrics, artwork or trademarks you do not have the rights to;
• is hateful, harassing, threatening or violent, or promotes terrorism or self-harm;
• is meant to deceive, such as fake endorsements, scams or misinformation;
• is otherwise illegal.

You also must not:

• scrape Muzie, use bots, or access it in an automated way without our written permission;
• try to get around credit costs, watermarks, safety filters or account limits;
• reverse engineer Muzie, interfere with how it runs, or access other people's accounts;
• resell access to Muzie.

We use automated filters and human review to enforce these rules. We may block a generation, remove content, or suspend or close an account that breaks them, and we report child abuse material and other serious crimes to the authorities.

8. Copyright complaints

If you think something made or shared on Muzie infringes your copyright or uses your likeness without permission, email muzie@aphvn.com with your contact details, what the work is, where it appears on Muzie, and a statement that you own the rights or act for the owner. We will look into it promptly and remove content where appropriate. We close the accounts of repeat infringers.

9. Our part of Muzie

Muzie itself, including the software, design, styles, logo and name, belongs to APHVN Limited or our licensors. We give you a personal, non-transferable permission to use Muzie under these terms. Nothing in these terms gives you any other rights in Muzie.

10. Availability and changes

We work to keep Muzie running, but it may sometimes be unavailable for maintenance or because of problems with our providers. We may change or remove features, styles or models. If we stop offering Muzie entirely, we will give you reasonable notice.

11. Our responsibility to you

Muzie is provided as it is. AI results vary, and we do not promise any particular result, likeness or quality, beyond the rights you have under consumer law.

We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable, for business losses such as lost profit or opportunity, or for how you use your creations.

Our total liability to you is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and £100. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited by law.

12. Ending your account

You can delete your account at any time from the settings in the app or by emailing us. Deleting your account deletes your content and creations and forfeits any remaining credits, so download anything you want to keep first. Cancel any App Store or Google Play subscription separately.

We may suspend, restrict or close your account at any time, for any reason or no reason, with or without notice. This includes, but is not limited to, breaking these terms, suspected fraud or abuse, or where the law requires it. If your account is suspended or closed, you lose access to your content, creations and any remaining credits, and you are not entitled to a refund.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when we add features or the law changes. We will update the date at the top, and if a change is significant we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect. If you do not agree with a change, you can stop using Muzie and cancel your plan.

14. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales or in the courts of the country where you live, and you keep the protection of that country's mandatory consumer laws. If you have a complaint, please email us first so we can try to put it right.

15. Other terms

• These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Muzie.
• If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
• If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still do so later.
• We may transfer this agreement to another company that takes over Muzie, and your rights will not be reduced. You may not transfer it without our agreement.
